Reporters Without Borders Award Shortlist Announces Hong Kong Prize For 2024

Hong Kong Free Press (HKFP) has been nominated for an RSF Press Freedom Award this year, despite Beijing’s crackdown on Hong Kong media outlets. RSF noted in their shortlist announcement that HKFP remains “one of the few media covering topics considered taboo by Beijing such as human rights issues, politics and trials of political figures”, according to RSF’s shortlist announcement. Winners will be announced during an award ceremony scheduled for December 4 in Washington DC.
