Domino is an iconic children’s toy. To play it, simply arrange a row of dominoes on an even surface, then tipping one ever-so-slightly to start an irresistibly rhythmic chain reaction of falling dominoes. The same concept applies when writing: each scene in your book can be thought of as its own domino that you can push over any time depending on its connection to other scenes – this phenomenon is known as domino effect and essential for plotting stories properly.
Domino’s first opened for business in Ypsilanti, Michigan and its founder quickly realized the key to its success would be locating strategically. He started off by opening pizzerias near college campuses where students loved fast delivery of pizza; this strategy proved effective as Domino’s quickly grew its footprint across Michigan and eventually across America.
Domino’s pizza franchise has grown into an enormous global enterprise, boasting more than 11,300 locations as of March 2014. But this success did not happen overnight: to reach this point required a lot of hard work by building its brand and keeping customers satisfied.
Domino’s offers more than pizza; in addition to offering sandwiches, salads and beverages it also offers catering services and delivery as well as impressive promotions and partnerships such as its recent partnership with the National Football League which began August 2015.
Domino’s stands out from its competition thanks to its emphasis on customer service. Domino’s has implemented training programs, in-person meetings with managers and even an open phone line so customers can reach them any time. Furthermore, the company employs employees trained to help resolve customer complaints as well as an entire team dedicated to doing just that; finally its CEO himself goes out of his way to address concerns directly.
Domino’s success lies in using local ingredients, with local suppliers being at the core of its business strategy. Furthermore, it employs its own quality control program to guarantee its food meets all quality standards at all times.
At its founding, Domino’s Pizza was owned and run as a small family business by Dominic and Lidia Ambrosius – husband and wife owners of an Italian-American heritage who combined corporate experience to develop an entirely new type of pizza product that could compete against traditional pizzerias as well as international chains.
Domino is an integral component of the X-Men universe and continues to play an influential role. After Scarlet Witch depowered most mutants during M-Day, she joined X-Force with Shatterstar and Caliban from her Six Pack to assist in the rescue of mutants sequestered by ONE. Later she was hired to sabotage Rumekistan and Cable’s island paradise Providence to damage Rumekistan and Cable’s international standing, yet Domino and her Six Pack successfully foiled such missions before helping XFORce investigate and ultimately dismantle Reavers Operation Zero Tolerance against it.
