What is the Sydney Peace Prize?

The Sdy Prize is given to students who have done exceptional work in their field of study. Not only is the award recognition for their efforts, but also motivation to keep pushing harder in future work projects. Furthermore, it gives researchers in that particular field the chance to network – something which may prove highly advantageous in terms of future job prospects or networking connections.

The Algernon Sydney Sullivan Prize was established by the New York Southern Society in 1925 to perpetuate his memory, who was known for his generosity and selflessness as an attorney in New York City. Born in Indiana but quickly becoming well-recognized there as well, Algernon Sydney Sullivan “reached out both hands in constant helpfulness to others” — hence this prize bears his name as a reminder of those qualities he displayed.

Sdy Prize offers students an invaluable networking opportunity. By meeting other students and researchers in your field, you can learn a great deal from them while building key skills such as communication and teamwork that will assist with future career pursuits. It is an ideal way to build your network while giving back to the community!
