Emery Cox

JAG Las Vegas High School Class of 2017

Emery Cox is a current senior in the JAG LVHS program and in the current JAG LVHS Chapter President. Emery not only has he made great contributions to the program so far, but he was also selected to representative this year’s JAG NSLA Conference in Washington, D.C. His GPA has significantly improved and he has also already been accepted to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco for Graphic and Game Design. Emery was also chosen his junior year for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and will attempt to act as a senior counselor in the upcoming RYLA Awards. He is the current LVHS President of the “No Place for Hate” student organization and has also served as the Vice-President of the College of Southern Nevada Gender and Sexuality Alliance organization.

The JAG Multi-Year Program is a highly effective, data-driven model that raises graduation rates and prepares participants by honing their work readiness skills. JAG students graduate at higher rates than their peers and are exceptionally prepared with a tool box of workplace skills that lead to success at work, in post-secondary education and/or the military.

Jobs for Nevada’s Graduates Inc. (aka JAG Nevada) is a private Nevada nonprofit formed at the request of the Nevada Governor’s Office to serve as the home base for the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program in Nevada.
